Toronto Christmas Market ~ Holiday Edition
Hello Monday! Christmas is only a month away, can you believe it? Though I have been in the holiday mode since November, the Christmas spirit really kicks into high gear with the opening of The Toronto Christmas Market on Friday!
Located in the historical district of Toronto with the largest collection of Victorian industrial architecture, the only walking district in Toronto is led up with enchanting lights, decorated in tradition, heritage and charming European Christmas Market style, the month long festivity is filled with stage performances, delicious European street foods (along with Canadian-made sweets and treats), and hundreds of unique and locally handcrafted products.
Look what I have found upon my arrival of The Toronto Christmas Market on Friday: the carousel!
My festive evening started at the always inspiring Cluny Bistro. With appetizing treats, bubbly champagnes, and the Christmas carolers, it was the best kick-off party ever!

The high light of the evening of course is the light ceremony of the soaring Christmas tree. These moments were captured seconds before the glorious tree took central stage.
Here is one of my favourite shots of the evening:
Are you ready for the countdown? Loving all the cheers and yay to "Merry Christmas" at The Toronto Christmas Market!
I get mesmerised by the lights at The Distillery every year and they always look stunning in pictures!
This over 50 feet tall Christmas tree is truly spectacular and it is the star of the show at The Toronto Christmas Market.
If you have not been to The Toronto Christmas Market, here is a fabulous video showing you exactly why you should check it out this year. My personal favouite treats at the market this year:
- Käse-Sandwich: hot grilled cheese sandwiches on artisan bread
- Schnitzel Haus: Germany’s favourite breaded cutlet dish, served on an irresistible pretzel bun
- Glühwein: popular hot beverage made with red wine along with various mulling spices
Now my only question is: are you ready to kiss under the mistletoe?
