#IDS17 ~ Weekend Must-See
Hello Saturday! IDS Toronto is in town and it's much fun this year that I have to drop-into give you a quick highlight before the full recap next week! Inspired by the symbolic significance of masks and strived to reimagine the typical application of Caesarstone, the incredibly talented (and super friendly) Jaime Hayon has ingeniously transformed the Caesarstone featured exhibit into a whimsical, fantasy land of #StoneAgeFolk. Incorporated the intricate inlay furniture technique, these tables, tall storage units, and reception desk will surely blown your mind away!
Speaking of fantasy, the Partisans Factory is my kind of fairytale where iconic furniture classics meets one of a kind masterpieces! Each of these spectacular light creations is hand-sculpted by the creative genius, Alex Josephson of Partisans, and his amazing team to turn an ordinary flat sheet of glass into an illuminated art, #Gweilo: the white ghost!
Tommy made one with Alex on the left, and this little striped number on the right is mine!
EQ3 has literally built a condo right at #IDS17! With a dining room, living room, bedroom + an office nook, I can only imagine how many of you will say: I can live here! Go check it out and be sure to share your EQ3 moment on Instagram with #EQ3xIDS17 for a chance win $250 gift card!
Miele has an amazing presence at #IDS17 showcasing their brand new bagless vacuum, proven to be easy to operate (I actually tried it out at the show) and top of its class on the hygienic test thanks to its state of the art lifelong filter system!
And that's not all! Do you know that for just under $9,000, you can have 5 pieces of Miele kitchen top quality appliances right at your home? That's right, this sleek, contemporary Compact Package is absolutely accessible for those of us who live in condo! I am so planning to incorporate this Compact Package into my new condo (we are finally sitting down with the builder to go through our design plan next week!).
Now if you are in the market for a dream laundry + ironing system, you have got to check out Miele at IDS Toronto! To celebrate the launch of its new washer and dryer laundry dream-mates, Miele has set up a second booth designated for laundry. That all-in-one iron, steamer, memory foam ironing board has all the ladies in the media tour saying: I WANT IT!
As for me, I fell hard for the handsome free standing coffee machine with a separate milk component and a self-cleaning capability! I saw one at my sister-in-law's house while in Germany and have been searching for one in Canada since. Well I've found it at Miele! It is super easy to use (just press a button ... really I tried it) and it comes in white!
I have also been dreaming a dining room makeover and am so glad to have meet two young talents (Henry from This or That Studio and Christian from ANONY) at Studio North and Prototype at #IDS17. Both received the honorable Designlines tag and one of these contemporary lighting solutions will be happening this spring. How am I going to choose?
This super sexy bar set from F&Y Design based in Montreal had me at hello. I may just have to go back on Sunday to pick it up at designboom mart.
IDS Toronto is a great place to be inspired and source the perfect products for projects. In my case, I have been cooking up a bathroom plan for my new condo with a wall hung toilet. This high style beauty from DXV is it! Thanks Genevieve for the beautiful inspiration!
Hope you all can make it to IDS Toronto this weekend and I can't wait to hear all about you favorites!

Paint by Number is most certainly fun when it's a giant wall mural with the new paint line from Canadian Tire. Don't you just love that rainbow ceiling idea!
