One Room Challenge Spring 2017 ~ Fav Guest Participants
Hello Tuesday! After showing you my own One Room Challenge hosted by Linda of Calling It Home, media co-host House Beautiful, and my favorite spaces by the 20 featured designers, I have finally got though the 254 guest participants' makeovers and ready to share my top 8!
Creekwood Hill: Modern Kitchen Makeover
I love seeing kitchen transformations on One Room Challenge (well I could be biased because I did one myself) and I know how much work that is to complete the job in 6 weeks! So when I saw this chic and super inviting kitchen by Creekwood Hill with a fantastic mix of creamy white and light neutrals + brass accents, I simply couldn't help but to fall in love with it. Beautiful styling and man I love that buffet / sideboard!

Jana Bek Design: Kitchen Reveal
Another fabulous kitchen I adore is this beauty in ming green by Jana Bek. I love Jana's living room makeover and with this kitchen opens right up to the adjacent living room, I'd say this first floor at Jana's home is spectacular! Love the budget friendly floating shelves in natural wood, incredible design tip to hone granite countertop to make it looks like soapstone, and I love how Jana injected pops of black to ground this light and airy kitchen.
p.s. I love those ginger jars hand painted by Jana!

Love Lola Blog: Bohemian Chic Living Room
Though I like elements of Bohemian style and some red accents, these two topics generally are a bit foreign to me. That's until I fell in love with this chic living room by Lauren and Hayden (from Markley Design)! White painted walls and fireplace, a gorgeous raspberry red rug traditional style, mid-century inspired furnishings, plus a modern interpretation of a classic chesterfield sofa in velvet + nailhead trim, who knew this beautifully curated space was completed in 6 weeks!
As a person with a black thumb, I am totally jealous of how happy the various plants look in the room ... especially the fiddle leaf fig!

Coco & Jack: Twin Bedroom Reveal
I don't know about you but I love kid's rooms in spring thanks to the soft, delicate colors and playful nature in design. This twin bedroom is absolutely adorable and super sweet with bunny details all around the room. My favourites are the bunny hardware on the wardrobe doors and the vintage rocking horse!

Thou Swell: Julia's Bedroom
Kevin did it again and this time his sister is the lucky winner (don't you just love to be part of this family?). The blue and white palette gives the room a crisp, fresh look while the green accents through the sumptuous headboard, the sexy legs of the desk along with pops of brass and burl wood up the luxe factor and give the bedroom its character.
Other than the palette, I also love how Kevin layers his patterns, textiles, treasured accessories to create this dynamite room on a limited budget! I can't wait to follow along on Kevin's next makeover!

Bre Purposed: Modern Vintage Bathroom
I have been brainstorming on bathroom ideas for quite sometime now and this mid-century spa-like retreat with a mid-century flair took my breath away with its fresh white tiled walls, richness via the wood elements, and that black grout detail that echo the stunning glass shower wall! The re-purposed vanity is a total showstopper and the juxtaposition between vintage loves and contemporary favs (sleek shower system and modern wood picture ledge above the tub) had me at hello!

Vanessa Francis Design: Functional + Pretty Office
Of course we all need an inspiring place to get our creativity going. Check out this elegant home office by Vanessa of Vanessa Francis Design. Vanessa is such a master in custom cabinetry with her creations blown me away time after time (see her gorgeous kitchens here and here). With a mix of open and closed storage, this office is max on storage + style!
Love that white typewriter print and the chandelier is perfect for the space! #Bravo!

Kristin of Bliss At Home is such a style expert and when I heard she's joining the #OneRoomChallenge this spring, I was all excited to see her transformed living room / entrance thanks to her sneak peek of the grasscloth wallpaper! What a stunner and you all know I LOVE grasscloth. Such a brilliant use of shimmers in the entrance way for a luxurious and sumptuous welcome and they look fantastic in the living room as panels!
The sharp charcoal grey and white dining room with elegant draperies (love the trim detail) and what an amazing art collection + how Kristin showcases them!
Oh of course there is this super super chic reading nook and a pair of bookcases for an artful display. I have never met a black and white stripe + polka dot(ish) I don't love. The table, the tassels, the roman blind, I simply want them all in my own home!!
