#IDS18 ~ Maker, Studio North + Prototype

Hello Friday! Can't believe January went by just like that and what a busy couple of weeks.  After touring the fabulous #CouturePizzeria and #ResortKitchen by Sarah Richardson for Monogram Canada, I am ready to show you my favourite makers + talented design rising stars at Studio North and Prototype at the Interior Design Show Toronto.

Maker features the work of artisans who produce their own work in small batches with limited distribution. I have met the talented My Le and Rock of 1925 Workbench a few years ago at IDS and I have been a fan ever since.

If you are looking for a sleek, modern tracking system that works smooth as butter, this single track by pass system, #1925workbenchpatentpending, is IT! These two fabulous wallpapered doors (made by Rock by the way) passing by each other effortlessly and the brushed brass finish is a winner.

This dynamic design couple also specializes in custom wood furnishings and their sophisticated yet organic design aesthetic surely had me at hello.  Partnered with Akai Ceramic Studio and these floral arrangements are simple and breathtaking!

Now to a new friend, Kastella from Montreal hands down is one of my favourite new discoveries at #IDS18.

The quality craftsmanship, the meticulous attention to detail, and the perfect mix of metal and wood caught my eyes immediately. Furniture pieces are meant to be touched and these pieces are so smooth I am telling you I had a hard time keeping my hands off them!

I can't wait to visit Montreal soon to check out the showroom and Kastella's entire collection in person!

Now back to my home base, KROFT is another Maker I met through IDS and isn't Dustin's booth totally hip and playful? If you are looking for the perfect floating side table, check out Buoy

As for my KROFT obsession, the HNGR is on top of my list! I can't wait for my new condo to be built so I can figure out where I can install this fantastically versatile piece somewhere!

Speaking about obsession, I have been in love with the bubble chandelier from PELLE for a very long time.  So you could imagine my excitement when I heard that PELLE would be at IDS to showcase part of their collection.

It's always incredible to see a stunning fixture in person and at #IDS18, I fell in love with not one but two sensational creations at PELLE: Tripp-Mini Pendant + Tripp Sconce. Totally #crush!!

Now that we are on the lighting trail, ANONY knocked it out of the park again this year with their latest creation and this display: simply spectacular!

Justin Bailey is back again at Prototype this year and his ISO Table is fun, functional, and it has a futuristic vibe.  The steel rod frame contrasts and provides the modular Corian tiles the maximum versatility to accommodate your every needs of a coffee table.  Cocktail hours or dinner in front of TV, Justin has got you covered.

Another new friend this year is .DECIMAL.  Combining LED technology with state of the art 3D printing, these light weight and super sexy pendants most certainly push our imagination to the next level.

One more lighting crush before I head out for the weekend, Lambert & Fils from Montreal has been one of my favourite lighting sources for years.  Their collection is so sophisticated and mesmerizing from every angle and so was its booth at #IDS18.

Presented by Klaus, I got to experience these dynamite fixtures up-close in person.  Say hello to Laurent 07 and Laurent 01.

New to Lambert & Fils is the Mile Collection and I love the quiet sophistication of Mile 01 and the fixture moves too!

I was totally a kid in the candy store this year at IDS18.  Hope you all had a fun time following along and I will see you all again at IDS19!
